Fishing Licences
Before you purchase a fishing licence in Alberta, you must
first obtain a Wildlife Identification Number (WIN
card) for $8.00. This card is
valid for 5 years and is required to buy all
fishing and hunting licences in the Province of Alberta. After you
obtain a WIN card you may then purchase a fishing licence according to the following
price breakdown:

Licences are valid from April 1, through
to March 31 of the following year.
February 18 - 20 is a
free fishing weekend in the province of Alberta. You do not
need a WIN card or a license to fish either of those days. Come for a
winter walk and wade or an ice fish with us on those days, and save some money.
Also, don't forget about the free fishing weekend
on July 9th and 10th. Come for a float trip
with us then and help support Canada's National
Fishing week that runs from July 3-11 2004! Promote the tradition of sportfishing in Canada!
